Do You Feel Lyrics
I'm thinking 'bout all the things I heard about today
all this week and tomorrow
and how these hands could create
some better things for bettering
but you see them now, I've got my own things
I can't help it, I got too many issues I own
so I cannot help I'm afraid, yeahh
but keep on preachin', preachin' to heal the world
lip service makes us look great
Do you feel
the weight of the world singin' sorrow
or to you is it just not real
cause you got your own things
and we all have our things, I guess
I guess my mind wanders off from time to time
sometimes i convince myself
that all this fight in the world, it's not mine
why should I have to try to fix things I didn't create or contrive
Do you feel
the weight of the world singin' sorrow
or to you is it just not real
cause you got your own things
and we all have so many things
Have the habits that you
has it been too long
can you feel the souls behind what's going on
Do you feel
the weight of the world singin' sorrow
or to you is it just not real
cause you got your own things
and we all have our things,
Do you feel
the weight of the world singin' sorrow
or to you is it just not real
cause you got your own things
cause we all have so many things
and I can't get past these things, oh
all this week and tomorrow

I love this song, psyched for the new cd.
it's a commentary on Christians, how Christians are supposed to be helping others but they don't. That some of them are just to self centered to help out and there excuse is that they all have their own problems and issues to deal with
I dont think this song is christian. I think this song is for anyone, because preaching can mean talking, or just trying to tell someone what to do, so maybe, "but keep on preachin', preachin' to heal the world lip service makes us look great" means People say things are worng in the world and maybe truly do want to help, but they also do nothing about it. And others just say things to make themselves look good.
But either way, an amzing song, that has a lot of power. My all time favorite song. =,D

july 17th cant come soon enough. never thought i'd say this but thank god for myspace.
i can not begin to explain my excitedness for this cd. i looovvvee it! and yes milk23 i agree with you.
okay cool but what does this song MEAN? this is songmeanings. i don't understand this song. obviously he's saying there are a lot of the problems in the world, but is he saying to himself that he can't fix it, or is he saying it to other people...? like is he saying there are a lot of problems, but i have my own to fix first...? cuz if he is, i think it's weird to sing a song about that. it's kind of selfish. no offense i love this band, but i really don't understand this song. a little help here.
i found the right words! i'm just wondering if he is saying about himself or if he is mocking someone. like saying "keep on preaching to the world, lip service makes us look great." is he talking about america? the american people? it's really bothering me.
Ok, well Bryce is basically explaining that their are many problems in the world we live in today and people go on and try to ignore that fact. He also explains that even know these problems may have existed before our time or that we had no part in them we need to try and fix them. Basically just pay attention to what is going on around you because all it takes is that one person to make a change.
I agree with the last comment, but I think in addition it's not just that everyone ignores the big problems; it's that everyone is so wrapped up in their own problems [is it just not real 'cause you got your own things] and trying to solve them by whatever means [have the habits had you], so that we become self obsessed and don't try to fix the big picture.
