Fake It Through the Day (Miss Misery, early version) Lyrics
I'll fake it through the day
With some help from Johnny Walker Red
And the cold pain behind my eyes
That shoots back through my head
With two tickets torn in half
In a lot with nothing to do
But it's all right, because some enchanted night
I'll be with you
Tarot cards and the lines in my hand
Tell me I'm wrong, but they're untrue
I got plans for both of us
That involve a trip out of town
To a place I've seen in a magazine
That you left lying around
I can't hold my liquor but
I keep a good attitude
Because it's all right, some enchanted night
I'll be with you
And though you'd rather see me gone
Then to see there come the day
I'll be waiting for you anyway
Next door, the TV's flashing
Blue frames on the wall
Its a comedy from the seventies
With a lead no one recalls
He vanished into oblivion
It's easy to do
And I cried a sea when you talked to me
The day you said we were through
But it's all right, some enchanted night
I'll be with you
With some help from Johnny Walker Red
And the cold pain behind my eyes
That shoots back through my head
With two tickets torn in half
In a lot with nothing to do
But it's all right, because some enchanted night
I'll be with you
Tell me I'm wrong, but they're untrue
That involve a trip out of town
To a place I've seen in a magazine

I can't hold my liquor but
I keep a good attitude
Because it's all right, some enchanted night

Then to see there come the day
I'll be waiting for you anyway

With a lead no one recalls
He vanished into oblivion
It's easy to do
And I cried a sea when you talked to me

I'll be with you

"He vanished into oblivion its easy to do, And I cried a sea when you talked to me The day you said we were through But its alright, some enchanted night i'll be with you. "
these are the most amazing lyrics!
Yeah awesome lyrics in the last verse. I was really annoyed at sweetadeline.net when the posted the lyrics in the last line of the last verse as "And I cry to sleep when you talked to me... etc" What a disgrace. I email the Charlie Ramirez guy about 10 times regarding this fault, and he never changed it. Wanker!

I'm pretty sure the line "Tear up cards in the lines in my hand" is actually "Tarot cards and the lines in my hand"
Fixed itt, thank you.
I cried the first time I heard this. :-/
How is it "so crappy"??
i love... this song. theres no doubt about that.
Yeah, not crappy, even in comparison. I think I prefer this version, just because of the lyrics. It feels more honest than the GWH version.
I prefer this version too. It's more melancholy and grounded than GWH version.
I like this version of the song better as well; both are nice, but this one is closer to the spirit in which it was written.
Oh, and the start of the last bit sounds like this to me:
Next door the tv's flashing blue frames on the wall
First sone I ever heard by Elliott was Miss Misery. Didn't like it much but it grew on me. I started to like it more and more then I heard this version MANXBASS is right this version is definatley more honest I played it at my last show. Great lyrics great song. I guess you have to tap into the darker things in life, the things people are afraid to share untill people start listening
