Black Helicopter Lyrics

You're going to take what you can get
a hammered styrofoam
beat into the West
live the highway in your home
you're going to get what you deserve
and not a penny less
concrete the natural absurd
only killers call killing progress

Fall on me
Black Helicopter
they're all I see
Black Helicopters

You're going to take what you can get
food aid rock and roll
absolution for your head
for Xbox, COINTELPRO
you're going to get what you deserve
and not a bullet less
hey Sammy, ain't you heard?
only killers call killing progress

ever since i have bought the album "Hospital Music" i have very much liked this song. Although, everytime i listen to it i am still puzzled to what it actually means. I know some are going to say that it simply means that "people will eventually get what they deserve" but knowing mat its definitely deeper than that.

I think he is talking about how the government will spy on its own citizens to get what it wants, mixed with some current war stuff.

Black helicopters are supposed phantom heli's that fly around and spy within the country. COINTELPRO is an acronym for COunter INtelligence PROgram.

"a hammered Styrofoam" I think this a reference to bombed out structures in Iraq.

I think this is a commentary on how our society sees all this stuff on tv and in video games but never really take it to heart. people are dying but we'd rather play the game than live with the reality that it's our fault it still goes on. We would find it devistating if something like whats going on in the middle east happen here in north america.. but since its happeneing there its just "natural". Its saying what goes around comes around, what we create becomes our fate kinda deal. We think killing is the answer but that just makes us murderers.

personally i feel thats a really scratch the surface interpretation i know theres something deeper...

After long listening to this song (mostly cause i love it) i just kinda realized that its way more directed at government negligence and ignorance. Especially directed at the united states. How they think war is the answer and how they think it'll bring peace. This is evident in "hey sammy ain't you heard? Only killers call killing progress" Sammy as in Uncle Sam. Its about how this is all gunna come back to haunt the states. Also how governments and citizens try to ease their consciences with "food aid rock and roll" but its hypocritical cause the next minute...

Wow, now that you guys shed some light on the whole thing, I understand most of it as clear as day. This song is pretty deep. "You're going to take what you can get//Food Aid rock and roll, absolution for your head"

Loved this songs sound before. Love it even more now. :p TY

"Hey Sammy, ain't you heard? Only killers call killing progress"

This obviously refers to Uncles Sam in a way that opposes the War in the Middle East.
