The Soloist in the Living Room Lyrics

Center stage
Mixed reviews
Haven't slept in forever

Practicing
Flawless moves
Talking back to the mirror

Back and to the left
Bounce back
Memorizing lines
Stutters in his speech

Maybe
Lose that nervous twitch
Waiting for his chance
To prove the talk is wrong

This song reminds me of my brother. He plays violin...last summer he would play at 2 AM or so. He's crazy about it. If he were to major in music and become a professional violinist, I imagine this is what his life would be like (and kind of is now).

This is also the song I listened to a lot when I was pulling all nighters during sophomore year.

There are lyrics missing, and this is the only circulating version of the lyrics: after "bounce back" and "maybe", there are more words that i cant make out does anyone know?

this song is about a person practicing a performance, he is getting ready to perform a show and show all people that doubt him that he is a great performer.
