In Mind Lyrics
When you die
You have to leave them behind
You should keep that in mind
When you keep that in mind
You'll find
A love as big as the sky
You have to leave them behind
You should keep that in mind
You'll find
A love as big as the sky

thanks alot. i was trying to discern by the song alone, which was...hard
"you'll find a love as big as the sky"
it's even posted on their website
The decision to include actual vocals in this song doesn't ruin it. It's my favorite from the new album, and perhaps my favorite dmst song ever.
love
this song sounds like falling in love.
My thoughts exactly. I love this song so much...
My thoughts exactly. I love this song so much...
this song sounds like being free to me...flying like a bird over the ocean or something. beautiful.
Pure perfection!
If they play this one when I see them next week I'll shit myself. (well, probably not, but I will make a spectacle, guarenteed!)
live, this song is a fucking explosion...a fucking orgasm. everything was so loud and all members of the band were screaming it into one mic....it was beautiful.
The meaning of this song seemed to me to connect well with A With Living. The latter was, to me, about being in tune with the universe and everything, basically about inner peace and happiness.
This song, to me, is about realisation that you are not eternal, that you will die someday and that when you do, all the things and people you loved will be gone. Realising that things are not eternal, that they will one day end, will make you love them and appreciate them more, thus finding a "love as big as the sky."
This song is basically about enjoying and loving life because it will someday end.
I think the song could have two views. One would be when you're alive, you should appreciate the people who love you because you won't be with them forever. If there is a heaven we all go to, then I think the song could be saying that you shouldn't be afraid to die because you'll find a greater life on the other side. But the way the song sounds doesn't really fit this meaning, for me. It gives me the sense that you've moved on from a life you loved, but didn't want to leave because you were comfortable with it. And now that you're moving on, you realize how good life is.
