I think it's about addiction in general. Nowhere in the song does it specifically state what it's about. Also, just because it makes the relation to a bloody nose, does not mean it's just about coke. Plenty of things can do that. Meth, pills, heroin, anything. I do think it's more so about drug addiction, or something of the sort because "And there I was all cloudy-eyed I was trying to speak. As far as meaning goes, lol...
I think it's about a relationship that's "off and on, off and on." And he wants to quit it, he wants it to end, but he just doesn't have "the strength to live without it." So he will continue the rollercoaster ride.

I agree with Ellie117. It's definitely about an off-and-on relationship, that hurts both the people in it and those around them (the part about the family), but they continue to live in denial.

This song sums up how I feel about my boyfriend...ex boyfriend...somewhere in between. We broke up, but it's not clear whether we really have or not. It's as if if we deny everything we don't have any problems. But this is all doing more harm than good. But we're not sure if we "have the strength to live without it."
