I\'m really not 100% sure what this song means, and I especially can\'t break down what each line means, I think this song is either about the singer giving up on the relationship that is falling apart, or either that giving into the weight of his heartbreak. As he reflects upon the failed relationship, he tries so hard to fight all the sadness and pain and be strong but ultimately in the end it wins, it gets the best of him. He is defeated and weakened, and can no longer fight it, thus he surrenders to his ex-lover\'s side, in the sense that he let her destroy him.
