Hear Me Now Lyrics
Well I swear to God
We've been down this road before
The guilt's no good
And it only shames us more
And the truths that we all tried to hide
Are so much clear when it's not our lives
We don't face the blame
Won't you
(Get on your knees)
Believe
(Have faith)
In this lie with us all
Now my body's on the floor
And I am calling
Well I'm calling out to you
Can you hear me now?
It's not a rebellion when your
Selling out to another fashion salesman
Our promising lives
Are full of empty promises
Temptation's falling
And calling you home again
I'm sorry if we've let you down
Won't you
(Get on your knees)
Believe
(Have faith)
In this lie with us all
Now my body's on the floor
And I am calling
Well I'm calling out to you
Can you hear me now?
What's wrong?
What's wrong?
What's wrong?
Now my body's on the floor
And I am calling
I'm calling out to you
Can you hear me now?
We've been down this road before
The guilt's no good
And it only shames us more
And the truths that we all tried to hide
Are so much clear when it's not our lives
We don't face the blame
(Get on your knees)
Believe
(Have faith)
In this lie with us all
And I am calling
Well I'm calling out to you
Can you hear me now?
Selling out to another fashion salesman
Our promising lives
Are full of empty promises
Temptation's falling
And calling you home again
I'm sorry if we've let you down
(Get on your knees)
Believe
(Have faith)
In this lie with us all
And I am calling
Well I'm calling out to you
Can you hear me now?
What's wrong?
What's wrong?
And I am calling
I'm calling out to you
Can you hear me now?

First I really like this song and Framing Hanley rocks. :)
This song is about how you grow up and you’re told a lot of things that you’re just lead to believe because you’re young and you just grow up believing these things. The song is about having questions and wanting the real answers on your own as you’re starting to grow up. You’re starting to wonder about hypocrites in everyday life, and you’re starting to see these things that you necessarily don’t agree with. You kind of think that these people are doing this just because they were growing up believing this. This song is just about wanting to know what the real answers are.
Just listened to this song for the first time and it caught my fancy straight away. At a first glance Id say that this song song is about somone trying to commit suicide
I think this song is about a person who has reached their breaking point in life. They are screaming for help and looking for anwsers. They want a reason to keep on going in the tuff life they are living. The song sounds like this person can't catch a break. Great song.
first an FYI to razr1313... just because a song is titled "hear me now" doesn't mean it has to say it... it does in fact say "can you feel now" in that one part... if you don't believe it then check the lyrics they posted themselves on myspace...
on with the song... although i can see everyone's point on the song being about someone who has reached their limit, i see this song meaning something else...
the song isn't saying "I'VE been down this road" or "i'm sorry I'VE let you down again", it's saying "WE'VE been down this road" and "i'm sorry WE'VE let you down"... i think its talking about one of two things.. its either talking about our generation (generation Y) and how we are looked down upon...
OR it has a bigger meaning... and this is the one i lean towards more... i think this song is a plea to the world in which we live and the people living in it... we are so worried about what other people are doing that we don't care to look at our own lives... and all the world is trying to do is make us believe lie after lie... he is begging (now my body's on the floor and i am calling out to you) the people of the world to change... and even though i know how people get when there is talk of religious conotations in songs but i also think that in parts of the song he is talking to God as well (i'm sorry if we've let you down)... also i think there are two "voices" in the prechorus... one is the world telling you to believe in the lie they are telling you the other voice is saying you need to get on your knees and have faith (obviously) and they seem to be fighting each other... the world wants you to believe that there is no God or higher being to have faith in but you need to believe that because that is your salvation and can be your sanity in this world full of lies and deception...
ps... i have been a fan of these guys since they were just a local band in nashville... WE LOVE OUR NASHVILLE BOYS!!!!!!!!
i cant belive hardly anyone has commented this song. its amazing. i caught it on sirius and now im hooked. great band.
one of the choruses towards the end is replaces "calling" with "crawling" and "can you hear me now" with "can you feel me now" other than that, they seem pretty acurate this song is absolutely amazing.. I love it, the band is incredible. I agree with Incubus_Man23, it seems to be about finding answers for a seemingly out of control life.
I'm listening to the song, and the part where it says "I'm calling out to you" is correct. It's not crawling. Other than that it's pretty close to the real wording. This song is amazing though. All of their songs are. I love them.
