Xanax Lyrics
In a CBGB's t-shirt and cut-off jeans
My life
With boomboxes placed on green lawn
Playing rap music
As I am washing my red Cavalier
As I am waxing my red Cavalier
Hosing, drying
My red Cavalier
My wife and both of our kids waiting inside
Watching TV
On the screen, a Cavalier looks better
But that will change
Once I put on that last coat of paint
That last coat of paint
Ooo, baby
When I'm with you I'm alright
Hey baby
When I'm with you, it's alright
Yeah, baby
Let's take the Cavalier out
My life
With boomboxes placed on green lawn
Playing rap music
As I am waxing my red Cavalier
Hosing, drying
My red Cavalier
Watching TV
On the screen, a Cavalier looks better
But that will change
Once I put on that last coat of paint
That last coat of paint
When I'm with you I'm alright
Hey baby
When I'm with you, it's alright
Yeah, baby
Let's take the Cavalier out

i think its "in a cbgb's t-shirt"
this song is cuuute.
Cute? It´s only cute if you read the last two lines and disregard the rest of the lyrics, including the title. It has this creepy quality to it: the dream of the perfect suburban life and how the reality doesn´t measure up to the dream (On the screen, a Cavalier looks better). It kind of reminds me of Revolutionary Road, a little bit. Plus, the song is called Xanax. Sedated existence, boring lawn-house-car life blah blah. I think it's more ambiguous than you give it credit for.
