Girl and the Geese Lyrics

There was a girl who talked to geese
She understood them and they her
One day she looked into a crystal stream
And saw in its bed a diamond
She picked it up and placed it in her hair
As she did so she turned into a geese
It was then revealed that the other geese
She magically had understood
Were once human like her

"She turned into a geese". Isn't the singular of geese "goose"? :P Just an observation.

this song is clearly about death. just like the girl got to figure out the secret of the talking geese, you can find out about what happens after you die. but the price to pay is that you can't come back, just like the girl was never human again. the diamond represents the eternity of the choice to discover what happens after death. i just can't figure out the meaning of the crystal stream.

the crystal stream may be a reference to "light" often said to be seen after death. she looked into the "crystal stream", found a diamond, and by placing it in her hair, accepted it, and by accepting it, she accepted the "crystal stream", and again, in doing so, accepted death.
