Black Poppies Lyrics
Black poppy sleeps a dreamless night
In summer shade of moony light
Hazy veils of clouds loom low
The warm kittens close to the earth
Underground bodies stir with no sound
No one to hear them under the ground
Ghost horse and stillborns turn in their cradles
Silvery meadow murmurs the song of
Tiny glow worm glowing
Rain starts her shimmery descent
Into the old leathery skin of the farm
In summer shade of moony light
Hazy veils of clouds loom low
The warm kittens close to the earth
Underground bodies stir with no sound
No one to hear them under the ground
Ghost horse and stillborns turn in their cradles
Silvery meadow murmurs the song of
Tiny glow worm glowing
Rain starts her shimmery descent
Into the old leathery skin of the farm

its "no one to 'hear' them under the ground". this song is so beautiful, just the way its sang, and the lyrics. not sure what it means but sure is depressing.
'Black poppy sleeps a dreamless night In summer shade of moony light Hazy veils of clouds loom low'

Pretty sure they're talking about H. Black poppies are what H is made out of. 'Moony light' and 'Hazy veils' is so right. H is like a hazy veil. If I'm wrong I'm wrong but, come on...

To me, this song is 'illustrating' the beginning of rainfall("hazy veils of cloud loom low"..."Rain starts her shimmery descent"_ over an abandoned, old farm, which has had its fair share of troubles("Underground bodies stir with no sound"..."Ghosthorse and stillborns turn in their cradles") like an old man--"old leather skin of the farm".
