And So It Ends Lyrics

Verse 1
Even when the sky comes crashing down
And the earth is covered in flames and ash
When you're gasping your last breath
I dare you not to love me back
Your words fall like acid rain
Burning everything they come across
Its so hard to just give in
The answers close but lost

Chorus
Like the cold of the grave that you touch with your fingertips
Like the words that you say, softly whispered through blood red lips
Like the hands of the clock on the last night well ever share
Like the dirt and the rocks that keep me buried alive down here
(Its finally over with)

Verse 2
We interrupt your scheduled programming
To confirm all of your darkest fears
Your blue eyes are so bloodshot
I cant tell if its drugs or tears
It appears theres precious few seconds left
The zero hour is suddenly upon us now
So many confessions left to make
More than time allowed

This song is interesting, and although AKCBD is not a very well-known band [are they even signed to a label?] I am surprised nobody else has commented on these lyrics. This song is very metaphorical, but I believe it's about not being able to tell someone the way you feel about them before it's too late... OR it could be even MORE metaphorical than that. But who am I to judge? I am a very literal thinker so someone else needs to comment to help me out here o.0

I don't think it's neccessarily about telling someone how you feel about them by the time it's to late, but maybe just telling them about something that they've been keeping from a loved one.

I just discovered this band, and I am amazed! talk about hidden talent! Actually, I think it's about a few things. I definitely agree with the "telling somebody, before it's too late theory" because the last line makes it obvious. But I don't think it's about telling somebody how you may feel about them, I think it's about telling someone they're sick, or about to die, or confronting them about who they've become, because there's a drug reference in the last verse. I think it's also about losing things that you thought were near you, discovering the distance between words and actions, and once you discover that they're just that -words- the lie buries you alive.
