They Drew Their Swords Lyrics

Well, she is waking up
And she is finding out she has no pulse
Just like her "God" that she is trying to sell
But she ain't bought

Her lion is scared
Because he is finding out
She's waking up and he can't stop breaking down
And fading out as she gets up

Well, she looks around, Ariel
You have no pulse
Much like your religion, but it's fine
Just fake it

The wrath of God's grace is but an ocean to a child

This is about someone who is pretty much faking faith. She goes to church, tries to look good like she is so righteous, when, inside, her heart is not right. Then she hears the voice of Satan telling her it is ok, she can just fake it. This song, I believe, can be very important to people like “Ariel” to realize they need to stop faking and get real.

some one realizing that thier man-made religion is holding no water is holding no weight and they realize that they are helpless, but josh says just fake it everyone does

@(para-lytic) actually The Chariot is a band formed by Christian guys, so it wouldn’t make sense to say it’s an anti-religion song. It is more like what Chardejean said. It is talking about someone who is pretending faith and trying to sell out religiousness, but that in fact is a hypocrite and is dead inside.
