The song is an allusion to the French Revolution, giving the perspective of a man facing La Guillotine. The song ends with him facing execution for his crimes, punishment for selling his soul to the devil. He can't believe that this is happening, asking if it's real as the horrifying lynch mob doubles in size, crazed for blood. As he is marched to the Guillotine he sees it gleam, his strength crumbling in fear, knowing that his execution is for the "glory" of the revolution, the holy disease that is tearing the country apart. The theme of the song is facing judgement for sins made in life. Johnny 3 Tears feels like the condemned man in the song, everyone is against him, dying to tear him apart for his mistakes.
