I heard this song on Grey's Anatomy when George and Izzy were talking in the closet with linnen in it. I think this song fits perfectly to the moment. George probably realized that deep down he also loves Izzy, and that changed everything, everything falls appart, but he's still alright
I actually heard this song on Kyle XY. I think it's about how no matter how bad things can get, how different people can become, some things still stay the same, and you can make it out alright. I also think that it's about material things not being important, and that you can get along without them "When everything you have goes away/You realize that nothing means a thing"
It was also on season three of How I Met Your Mother, the Slapsgiving episode. Definitely a beautiful moment where music and tv intertwine perfectly.
