Allegiance Lyrics
They feed you lies, they bring you pain,
Your life, sucked from your veins,
Clever disguise, falling from grace,
And now the sinner's marching on.
Inside my mind,
Warlike thoughts are taking over me.
See our generations torn, our burning hearts,
No more praise in the hall,
We're about to fall,
Empty memories are shattering our dreams,
Can you recall?
Pledge your Allegiance!
Pledge your Allegiance!
You hate them - yet you wont betray,
The wars you fight ain't yours!
The path of no return you take,
Until you lose control.
Inside my mind,
Warlike thoughts are taking over me.
See our generations torn, our burning hearts,
No more praise in the hall,
We're about to fall,
Empty memories are shattering our dreams,
Can you recall?
Your life, sucked from your veins,
Clever disguise, falling from grace,
And now the sinner's marching on.
Warlike thoughts are taking over me.
No more praise in the hall,
We're about to fall,
Empty memories are shattering our dreams,
Can you recall?
Pledge your Allegiance!
The wars you fight ain't yours!
The path of no return you take,
Until you lose control.
Warlike thoughts are taking over me.
No more praise in the hall,
We're about to fall,
Empty memories are shattering our dreams,
Can you recall?

these lines make me feel this is an anti-war song, soldiers wasting thier lives.
i think this bit- They feed you lies, they bring you pain, Your life, sucked from your veins, is about the leader general chaps giving them rappy reasons to make them fight and die for them.
it kinda reminds me of the first world war- but i dunno if greece were involved, or if it is relevent anyway.
by 'rappy' i, of course, mean 'crappy'
I think it is broader than an anti-war song, and might have an anti-nationalist meaning. This song, along with "Burning Earth", invoke strong anti-nation/anti-state sentiments in my mind.
I think this is about being forced to fight in a war that you don't agree with. An example that comes to mind is the Vietnam War. Because of the draft many people were forced to fight when they felt the war was wrong. Many people in history have forced people to fight for them and their ideals regardless of the people's viewpoints. Firewind has written lyrics about Hitler before (Burn in Hell) so this could have to do with him.
