Slanderous Lyrics

Ooh

I am wasted and ugly
I am the underbelly
A fat fuck and fairy
The reject they wish to bury

They want to, to murder us, silence us
Divide and conquer us
As they lead, as we die
Let these three words decide

I love you
Why do I hate my brother?
I hate you
Or do I hate myself?

I'm a meth head and alkie
Dumb cunt been called a junkie
A retard with a pussy
And I embrace the names you call me

They want to murder us, silence us
Divide and conquer us
As they lead, as we die
Let these three words decide

I love you
Why do I hate my brother?
I hate you
Or do I hate myself?

Oh

I'm a redneck and a faggot
The asshole ignoramus
A wetback and a nigga
And I raise my middle fingers to those that

Murder us, silence us
Divide and conquer us
As they lead, as we die
Let these three words decide

I love you
Why do I hate my brother?
I hate you
I hate myself

Love, hate

I love you
Why do I hate my father?
I hate you
Or do I hate myself?

This song is about how harsh society is when all you want to do is find "true love". I find the verse lyrics quite funny.

This song is a message of unity and self-acceptance in the face of discrimination and hate, describing the derogatory names and labels that society has given many; This includes ones like meth head, alkie, faggot, wetback, and nigga. But despite these labels, it proudly states how we must embrace them and raise our middle finger to those who seek to silence and divide us. Take the insults, racial slurs, and slander they throw at you, and stand defiant, unwavering, and never backing down. It also briefly speaks about how the ignorant racists try to spread slander in attempts to make brothers, sisters, and friends all turn their backs on each other.

In general, it's about the importance of acceptance and love in a cruel and divisive world, telling people to be proud of who they are and embrace themselves, even with the derogatory labels assigned to them, and encourages people to love each other despite how we may look.

i think it's about how society and government oppress minorities by lying about them and forming propaganda against them in various forms, hence the name slanderous. It raises the main point that we're all just human, and that people who used to be proud to be human, are now hating their "brothers" because of the unnecessary violence and hate they've received.

I think this song is more about how people today have "grouped" everyone else together by their race, how they dress, how they look, the kinds of music they listen to or anything else that is a little bit off or different than what society has led us to believe is wrong or not normal. It seems like the singer is looking from their point of view and also sticking up for them in a way.

ye i gotta agree with all of these comments. its definitely one of my favorite machine head songs. the verses seem to stand out to me more so than the chorus. i think its because all the names he uses in them have been said to me on a daily basis for years. sometimes its just for fun but overall it all adds up and starts to really hurt. i love machine head. theyre songs seem to convey so much emotion. they can get me totally pumped or pissed off or really depressed or sad. theyve almost made me shed a tear once.

one of my favorites, for the lyrics. being the dork and loser i am, i've been called many things. i used to embrace myself as a redneck, but now i embrace Jesus Freak and Faggot. i still hate when people mistake me for Emo... i'm Metal, not emo.

Wow this song is such an excellent punch in the face! a fine "fuck you" to those who judge and oppress with ugly words and deeds.

And excellent musically too! RAWK! \m/
