im thinking its about a guy who goes to a party, gets throwed, leaves with a girl hooks up with her with no emotional attactment. he does it just for the the thrills. but really he gets nothing from it.
the title of the song basically sums up its meaning--that he feels absolutely no emotion up on that stage. the side-theme, where he says "don't come with me tonight, if i said i cared for you i lied" is about if a girl were to follow him, hes warning her that it would only end up in meaningless sex and he would toss her aside afterward and forget her, like so many band members are famous for. the follow-up, "you waste no time tonight, you'll take me home if it costs your life" is showing that the girl basically doesnt care and she'll do anything to get in bed with him.
totally agreed theguy... except for the not feeling emotion on stage part. i know for a fact these guys love being on stage. i think it's more like when he plays a show or goes to a party and meets someone, he doesn't feel a single bit of emotional attatchment to them. and i'm assuming by the "if i said i cared for you, i lied" implies that he says whatever he can to get some if he wants it. who can blame him? if i were in their shoes, i'd do the same.
