she loves this boy so much that even if him finding another love that isnt her is what it takes to make him happy and "free" then she will accept that. she just wants him to not forget her completely..

this is obviously about a couple in which the singer/writer of the song is telling her significant other that no matter what they do..he/she will ALWAYS be there for them. she tells them if they leave or head someone new, they will always be remembered. but most importantly it talks about "if you be boat, I'll be your sea"...symbolizing together they're unstoppable and eachothers better halves.
