Dirty and Left Out Lyrics
Hello, I swear I won’t be to long
Hello, I promise I will be real strong
Wait up I just want to tell you
Hold up why are you still here
I’ve been dirtier than you want to know
I’ve lived dirtier than you’ll ever know
Why do you wanna be all this and into me
Why you stretch your arms and tell me I’m free
Why do you wanna be in my life, in my life
I’ve been dirtier than you want to know
I’ve lived dirtier than you’ll ever know
Jesus, Jesus
There’s something about your name
Master, Savior, Jesus
I’ve been dirtier than you want to know
I’ve lived dirtier than you’ll ever know
Jesus
Jesus
Hello, I promise I will be real strong
Wait up I just want to tell you
Hold up why are you still here
I’ve lived dirtier than you’ll ever know
Why you stretch your arms and tell me I’m free
Why do you wanna be in my life, in my life
I’ve lived dirtier than you’ll ever know
There’s something about your name
Master, Savior, Jesus
I’ve lived dirtier than you’ll ever know
Jesus

"I've been dirtier than you want to know I've left earlier than youll ever know" I think this bit is about him confessing to Jesus that he's sinned, or confessing to a person that he's sinned
"Why do you want to be all listening to me Why do you spread your arms and tell me I'm free Why do you wanna be in my life, in my life" This is him wondering how he can still be accepted and loved by Jesus after he has sinned so much.
I’m guessing he’s in a confessions booth confessing about his sins - or even praying and asking God questions.. He’s asking God why he is still being forgiving, why he is still a part of his life after all he has done.
I think the fact that this song is to Jesus makes it a million times better.
im not a christian, but im not an atheist either im a "to each their own" kind of guy. i dont believe in god but i do believe that jesus was a person who loved everyone completely, and people saw him as a magnificent person, and worshiped him. fuck, I probably would have worshiped him.
Consider this from C.S. Lewis' book "Mere Christianity"...

I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: 'I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God.' That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic -- on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg -- or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to."
i think blondy has it pretty much explained. this song is incredibly convicting (kinda reminds me of Showbread). probably my favorite one on the album.
this is indeed dirty and left out. and i believe blondy is right. this song is beautiful.
this is definately dirty and left out...i agree with eattyourface, this is beautiful. another songg on the album that makes me cry...wow i love aaron. he rocks. is it just me or does this song remind you of some will seek forgiveness??
so i havent gottent the album yet but just reading these lyrics makes me want to get it even sooner aaron is the master at song writing and showing his true emotions
love love love
I think owithaslash7 is right, it does remind me of some will seek forgiveness, others escape. Aaron's lyrics are the best that I've ever heard, I hope there will be many more albums written by him still to come!
i think this song is about how he feels he doesnt deserve jesus's love or something like that
