"Make A Plan to Love Me is a kind of romantic song. For any of you romantics out there. It's about a person that has a lot going for them, they're very busy. They have all these plans, and dreams, and schemes. They're really propelling themselves through all the hurtles of the world, but they're maybe neglecting nothing right beside them, which is perhaps more important than all these other things that they're keeping themselves busy with"

"it's just a romantic song about a person saying to their lover who is, who has all these plans and schemes, who is maybe a workaholic or driven/has all this ambition to do amazing things but is neglecting their lover. so she's saying 'even though you have all these things going on, I need you to make another plan...to love me.' It's a romance song/romance novel."

it's about someone who doesn't see what is right in front of them, and appreciate it. they are too worried about everything else they want and "need", and they never see the wonderful things that are right under their nose .. i really enjoy this song a lot..

so straightforward and old fashioned. this is such a good album
this song isn't about being loved at all. it's "obviously" about someone not wasting time on things that don't matter because, as Conor states:
life is too short. death doesn't ask, it don't owe you that.
yeah, i think this is conor asking someone that's kind of materialistic, kind of unappreciative, like, could you fit me into your plans? and like, could you make time for me?
