Music Arcade Lyrics

Have you ever been lost?
Have you ever been found out?
Have you ever felt all alone
At the end of the day?
Yeah I'm talkin' bout gettin' down
Take it easy - there's no one around
Just a mirror and you and me
And the TV screen

I was walkin down Main Street
Not the sidewalk but Main Street
Dodgin' traffic with flyin' feet
That's how good I felt
Took a spin in the laundromat
Played a game in the music arcade
Kept winnin' while the band played
That's how good I felt

Have you ever been lost?
Have you ever been found out?
Have you ever felt all alone
At the end of the day?
Yeah I'm talkin' bout gettin' down
Take it easy - there's no one around
Just a mirror and you and me
And the TV sky

Have you ever been singled out
By a hungry man?
You're listening to the radio
He's washin' your window
When you look in those vacant eyes
How does it harmonize
With the things that you do?

Have you ever been lost?
Have you ever been found out?
Have you ever felt all alone
At the end of the day?
Yeah I'm talkin' bout gettin' down
Take it easy - there's no one around
Just a mirror and you and me
And the TV screen

There's a comet in the sky tonight
Makes me feel like I'm alright
I'm movin' prety fast
For my size

I really didn't mean to stay
As long as I have
So I'll be movin' on...

no one has left a comment on this song? this is one of the most beautiful songs he ever wrote people. i don't even know what it's about, but it sums up so many feelings. without being explicit about any of them. who hasn't felt lost at the end of the day staring up into a tv sky. and ending it the only way he knows how. moving on. these words don't come near to doing justice to this song.

Brilliant track. Beautiful and emotional yet it is hard to put any meaningto some of these lyrics.

I think wet can all relate to being alone, lost, singled out, broke.

I love the sweet guitar riff at the very end, wish it went on and on.

I know most of Neil's songs and this one is a standout to me. We really do walk alone in this world, no matter how many or few people we let close to us. Our thoughts, our feelings, our path is really our own - sometimes its great, sometimes it's not. But what makes us human is recognizing that we are alone while being part of the human race together. This song addresses that so well on so many levels. Feeling lost, found out, feeling good, seeing what we have in common wth the hungry man, feeling like a comet, the need to move on. Just a great song.
