Lithium (Nirvana cover) Lyrics

I'm so happy 'cause today
I've found my friends, they're in my head
I'm so ugly, that's OK
'Cause so are you, broke our mirrors
Sunday mornin' is every day
For all I care and I'm not scared
Light my candles in a daze
'Cause I've found God

Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!

I'm so lonely, that's OK
I shaved my head and I'm not sad
And just maybe I'm to blame
For all I've heard but I'm not sure
I'm so excited, I can't wait
To meet you there and I don't care
I'm so horny, that's OK
My will is good

Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!

I like it, I'm not gonna crack
I miss you, I'm not gonna crack
I love you, I'm not gonna crack
I kill you, I'm not gonna crack
I like it, I'm not gonna crack
I miss you, I'm not gonna crack
I love you, I'm not gonna crack
I kill you, I'm not gonna
Crack

I'm so happy 'cause today
I've found my friends, they're in my head
I'm so ugly, that's OK
'Cause so are you, broke our mirrors
Sunday mornin' is every day
For all I care and I'm not scared
Light my candles in a daze
'Cause I've found God

Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!
Yeah!

I like it, I'm not gonna crack
I miss you, I'm not gonna crack
I love you, I'm not gonna crack
I kill you, I'm not gonna crack
I like it, I'm not gonna crack
I miss you, I'm not gonna crack
I love you, I'm not gonna crack
I kill you, I'm not gonna
Crack

They absolutely do not. Its a reasonable version of the song a cover of a classic and nothing else. Too much going on in the background. Nirvana's version is far superior.

Must say, I like this version better than Nirvana's. Like Twizzle said, much darker and wilder... though there's a lot going on in the background, I think it compliments the simple lyrics.

Lesse.... I guess its tradition for them to do this at pretty much every show. I want to say they do it as a tribute to Nirvanna, and I am sure they have some tribute in it, but they make it their own as well. I just don't know how they make it their own yet. Maybe because they have been trying (unsuccessfully) to break the mold of the happy, cheery, feel good band. This song is kind of dark, kind of like they're saying "we ain't all flowers and rainbows!"

Ok, it's a song about insanity, mainly bipolar disorder and probably the effects of the medication for it too (lithium). Looove this song, I can really relate to it being bipolar myself, but only the Spree version of it...somehow they make it sound so much darker and wilder and crazier than Nirvana... they sorta capture the vibe and meaning of the lyrics better
