i can't understand if it's talking about easy girls or harlequin girls.
"from your lipsticked lips, will they ever learn?" kinda sounds like they're talking about an easy, slutty girl
but then "hey what's with the girls with the stars in their eyes?" to me, kinda reminds me of the girls just wanting romance. the naive type, i suppose.

I am not sure what it means, but I don't know if it's about easy girls.
They had two close friends of theirs as the girls in the video. I don't know if they'd do that if it was about slutty girls.
Then again, the video didn't follow any sort of story line, so maybe. I'd go with naive though.

Actually in an interview Dan said it was about the time when his mom was sick from cancer but he was on tour so its basically his feelings of how strange it is to be performing to people when he felt so down.

and
"And we are alright now, but we're feeling tremors" is kind of like he is doing fine on stage but he feels like he is about to cry
