in an interview Dallas states that the song is about how whenever he gets into relationships with people that he seems to ignore them cause his love for music is so strong thus the line he says: "But sometimes love just is not enough, My heart will stray before too long, So please forgive me for when I sing this song." cause in the end he will love his music more than he can love anyone else
simple.....see he has made the mistake of falling in love with a someone but knows that if it goes that it lead to a broken heart.....so instead of continuing a relationship he has to leaver her....so he writes the song saying forgive him for writing a the song which is his only way of telling her he cant go on

"Oh I wish no harm" should be...
"Who I wish no harm"
other than that... great job, amazing song.

I did this from the live version. You'll notice the date is about a year before BMYL was released :P. But yeah, the studio is please forgive me.
I don't think that it's 'who i wish no harm' because following what he says before that, it doesn't really make sense. Also, i think you should change it to the studio version where he goes 'so please, forgive me, for when i sing this song' because the song details show it is from BMYL.
All in all, spectacular song. It has brought me to tears on more than one occasion.
How does it not make sense? He doesn't want to lie to her and he wishes her no harm.
