The conviction and emotion in his voice (at least in my recording) is simply heart-wrenching. But I suppose the meaning of the song is pretty concrete.
AH agreed. the song alone is enough to make me cry. so very sad.
john starts this song by saying " this is for anyone who's still being hurt form last weekend" you guys are right, its sacrilegious to even comment about this song. john can mend heart of anybody with his emotive voice and lyrics. keep on writing song like these john after all we need a glue to stitch our heart together. john ended the song by saying " i still believe in love" and for me it seemed as if he broke down and was beginning to cry. john you are GOD for me.

Crazy song... Definitely about being hurt from memories of "That One Night"...
This song is so great. I love the guitarin this song. It compliments the lyrics so well. I just wish John would record this in a studio. Yet, at the same time, maybe the song would lose its passion....
Now, I think this song is about more than mending a broken heart. I think its about hope more than anything. "Faith is a backless design, But I still choose it" .. this line just shows that even though a situation is impossible, faith and hope is the only option than he'll choose...
I hope the new album (which probably will be a fail) has atleast one song on it about something real, and not just marijuana haha.
