The Bad Thing Lyrics
Guess it's about a girl cheating on her boyfriend and telling it to him.
I really love this song. I think it's abvously about a married girl/woman who's hitting on him and trying to convince him to sleep with her and he's been in that kind of situation a lot, so he's talking about one time that a married girl tried to get in his pants and she was drunk or pretending to be drunk, and he tries to make her see how she doesnt have to do it, like in this part when he says:
Like I don't mind Be a big mistake for you to wait and help me waste your time Really love it's fine Said really love it's fine
He wouldnt mind to have sex with her, but he's actually telling her that her life is fine and love is fine and she doesnt have to carry that kind of guilt.
I've never come across a lyric that throws me so much as being able to go either way.
For years I've always heard the last two lines as: "She said it's the right wildest time But that is no excuse"
Now I listen to it I can hear "red wine", but I can still hear "right wildest" as well. :/
the meaning is pretty simple... doesn't mean the song doesn't rock though. It rules!
I think it's about how when girls cheat they usually convince the guy to do it with them whether they have a boyfriend or not and he finally gives in at the end.
Haha, this song is fucking brilliant.
hes getting pressured into getting with a girl who has a boyfriend.
now that hes famous he probably gets that alot, and hes just saying basically hes sick of it, cos they think he doesnt know about their boyfriends but he does
love this song,
true story - its about a famous bird who alex turner did the bold thing with.
...how would YOU know? no offence, but...
...how would YOU know? no offence, but...
well when he says 'do the bad thing, take off your wedding ring' he's being sarcastic. he's tempted, but his concious is kicking in...
