Red October was correct that the working title of this song was "Worldly Girl." FWIR it was about the lead singer's girlfriend and how some at their label thought she was too sleazy. I don't think that's true though.
The name of this song, and presumably the lyric, was going to be "Worldly Girl" -and that's exactly what it describes; a fun-loving, fast moving girl who circulates in high places and is a blast to be with.
