A dream of togetherness
Turned into a brighter mess
A faint sign my spoken best
Now, now

Make way for the simple hours
No finding the time its ours
A fate or it's a desire
I know

So I was the lycky one
Reading letters, not writing them
Taking pictures of anyone
I know

So let the sunshine
So let the sunshine
So let the sunshine let it come
To show us that tomorrow is eventual
We know it when the day is done

GOD. I LOVE this song. A dream of togetherness... The hopeful part, before a relationship that quickly ends. The sunshine, the realization that it can't work... This band is AMAZING.

The end of a relationship is always a pain (in the ass?). But it might be even more painful for one part of the split couple - the unlucky one. So, the one who did not take the initiave of putting an end to the relationship, the one who reads desperate letters of the others vain effort to get back together, this is a lucky person. All it takes to he or she is to let the sun shine its shine and wait for a better future with all the wounds healed.

I feel like this song tells the story of two people that met and for some reason maybe it was during a vacation or weekend trip, that both people were attracted to each other--- however one of them fell more than the other, one of them leaves and the other one stays.

and so the story begins "A dream of togetherness" - this person is already dreaming and imagining how their life could be, possibly the way they spent that weekend or holiday but it soon turned into a "brighter mess" because the other person gave up, or simply in his/her mind it was just a weekend thing, and nothing more, -or this perosn even though he/she feels something this perosn might be very realistic like they are too far away it wont work, or simply does not have the time to be in a long distance reationship

"make way for the simple hours" he/she is just asking to make some time, like if he/she gave some time, the person would fall in love because the "spark" is there, but the other person wont find the time so the other person is just stuck with the idea of ... "is it fate or just a desire" like was this person really in love or was it just infatuation??

however he/she is the lucky one because /she/he got to be with this person and maybe this other person wrote letters to him/her once but the perosn never did, /shehe never proclaimed his love in a matter of ..ill do anything for you even move to where you live, then "taking pictures of anyone, i know" could just mean all the pictures he/she took in his travel taking pictures of anyone he knows anything he sees

and in the end just let the sunshine come , i mean sooner or later he/she has to be alright , and time will pass, and if it was just infatuation or love well let the sunshine go, is like let time pass, there is nothing more he/she can do.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
