A beautiful song. About love. Love its restrictions when it's not reciprocal. Very mellow yet cast with deep undertones of dejection, which pronounces a very surreal image. Love failing. Not a nice feeling at all, paired with a placid song provides antonyms in abundance.
red riders are such a great aussie band! i cant believe i havent heard of them before now!! i love this song. obviously its about love... i think hes confused about what he feels for this person- he cares for her, but he knows that what they have isnt deep, not real love.
i think he's trying to say that he falls in love to easily, that he over romanticises things and jumps in to deep, where the people /person he shares things with is more casual about things.
