Talking to the Walls Lyrics

No hostage has been held
Like I've been holding mine
But I'm just fine...
Since I've been without you

No prisoner could climb the walls
That I've built up in my mind
Since I've been without you

But I'm holding down and out.
I'm desperate without you

Look at the shape I'm in...
Talking to the Walls again
Just look at the state I'm in...
Bent and broken is all I've been

No universal truth is time

No world or universe, but mine
Could ever feel as under line
Since I've been without you

No instances from time to time
Feel like things will turn out right
Since I've been without you

But I'm holding down and out.
I'm desperate without you

Look at the shape I'm in...
Talking to the Walls again
Just look at the state I'm in...
Bent and broken is all I've been

No universal truth is time

There's no universal You & I

There's no one to make me read or write (?)

Look at the shape I'm in...
Talking to the Walls again
Just look at the state I'm in...
Bent and broken is all I've been (x2)

(No, universal truth is time)
Look at the shape I'm in...
Talking to the Walls again
Just look at the state I'm in...
Bent and broken is all I've been

No universal truth is time

This song really reminds me of an old relationship.

I think he just really regrets what he did and wants the other person back.

But maybe I'm just stating the obvious...

Being alone is depressing. As a navy wife I am left all the time... and the first few weeks my friends and I go through this... an empty house no one there... the anger, despair... I think when you leave the single world some independence is lost. A part of you is gone... That is how I relate to this song...
