Shotguns Speak Louder Than Words Lyrics
I won't forget the day that you went away
But somehow I know you're always here
Close to my heart
I can't believe you're gone
It's not over
No we're not done
Let's show the world
Just what we've become
I won't forget what you told me
I know you're out there somewhere
Waiting for me any day
This time we won't cut corners
Well do our best to make it
Because we know it's the only way home
So please pray for me
Don't let me go to waste
Always close to my heart
I still can't believe you're gone
But somehow I know you're always here
Close to my heart
I can't believe you're gone
No we're not done
Let's show the world
Just what we've become
I know you're out there somewhere
Waiting for me any day
This time we won't cut corners
Well do our best to make it
Because we know it's the only way home
Don't let me go to waste
Always close to my heart
I still can't believe you're gone

This is my favoritestestest song, ever =]
I'm probably wrong, but to me it's about how someone passed away. I think the person who died has impacted his life in someway("I won't forget what you told me"). He knows the person in heaven is watching over him, and one day he wants to make it there too. He wants the person to pray for him and "don't let him go to waste" so he can be guided and make it there too. I'm not sure about the "It's not over, No we're not done..." part.
So my interpretation is probably completely wrong, but that's just how I think of it.

maybe megan he is goin to finish what they started
i think by [its not over,no we're not done] i think he means the person that passed away led him to Christ. and now it is his turn to try to lead people to Christ
this is a great song, but i can't get my mind around the question of how they got the title of their song; since it sounds so much like Alesana's song title "Daggers speak louder than words", but eh, who knows. maybe copy? maybe accidental?
to XxHollyManiacxX song titles such as '. . . . . Speak Louder Than Words' are very very very very common so i doubt its a copy its a well known saying thats where they got it
I think they all have it right.I think you could also look at it as a couple who broke up but remain good friends and still love eachother but can't be together at the moment, and all the mistakes they've made they wont make again.
I agree with most of the stuff said here. About the name, it seems fairly simple: "Shotguns Speak Louder Than Words" - it is about someone who got killed, I think. And you see, no matter how loud you'll shout, the shotgun will kill you.
