I Learned from You (Solo Version) Lyrics
Sometimes I couldn't hear what
You tried to tell me
I thought that I knew all I need to know
I didn't understand that
The doors you would open
Could take me somewhere
I wanted to go
I can be strong for you now
You taught me how
I learned from you that
I do not crumble
I learned that strength is
Something you choose
All of the reasons
To keep on believing
There's no question
That's a lesson
I learned from you
And you knew where to find all
Of my hiding places
And there are no secrets
From you I can't keep
You let me know how you feel
Pulling no punches
And I never knew that kind of honesty
I'm grateful for all of the times
You opened my eyes
I learned from you that
I do not crumble
I learned that strength is
Something you choose (Something you choose)
All of the reasons
To keep on believing
There's no question
That's a lesson
I learned from you
You helped me to stand on my own
And I thank you for that
It saved me
It made me
And now that I'm looking back
I can say...
I learned from you that (I learned from you)
I do not crumble (I do not crumble)

this song is touching it means she really doesnt want to admitt that hr dad is right but she is trying to admitt that he is right
when i sing this song, i sing it to three poeple: God, my dad, and my cheerleading coach Jeff Miller. I learned from God, my dad, and Jeff that i do not crumble i learned that strength is something you choose i learned all of the reasons to keep believing. God is the most amazing thing that you could have and im glad hes in my life. My dad is really cool in a way that he keeps me believing in myself. Jeff tought me that strenght is something you choose. "you are only as strong as you wish to be" is what he tells me.
I really like this song and I sing to god when I sing this song.
This song is Gorgeous. I think the meaning is pretty straight forward. She's saying that she has learned from her dad even though she doesn't really want to say that outloud. Thats what I think anyway. I like this version better then the one she sung with her dad.
