Hush, child, darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep, child.
Darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep.

Guileless son,
I'll shape your belief,
and you'll always know
that your father's a thief.
And you won't understand
the cause of your grief,
but you'll always follow
the voices beneath.

Loyalty (x7)
(only to me

Guileless son,
your spirit will
hate her.
The flower who married
my brother the traitor.
And you will expose
his puppeteer behavior,
for you are the proof
of how he betrayed
her loyalty.

Loyalty (x7)
(only to me)

Hush, child, darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep, child.
Darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep.

Guileless son,
each day you grow older,
each moment I'm watching
my vengeance unfold.
The child of my body,
the flesh of my soul,
will die in returning
the birthright he stole.

Loyalty (x7)
(only to me)

Hush, child, darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep, child.
Darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep.

First off, I love this song. The lyrics, the music, the voice, everything.

Second, when I first heard it, I thought of Final Fantasy VII. Specifically, Jenova's relationship with Sephiroth, Kadaj, and Hojo.

"My only son, I’ll shape your belief, and you’ll always know that your father’s a thief. And you won't understand the cause of your grief, but you’ll always follow the voices"

My only son = Sephiroth Your fathr's a thief = Hojo is a thief. A creepy thieft. Sephiroth follows what Jenova, "the voices", tells him to do

Of course, that's only the way I hear it.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
