Broadcasting... Lyrics
A common threat sits in our house
They keep on warning me
But I'm not always listening
And yesterday I heard the news of fire at my doorstep
But this morning they're just disputing semantics
Blatantly apparent
Necessary illusions, broadcasting...
Releasing, persuading, compliance
The common threat sits in our house
But I feel so far removed
Keep the production rolling
Please provide us with guidance
Fake it, amuse me
Necessary abusing, broadcasting...
Releasing, persuading, compliance
The common threat sits in our house
But I feel so far removed
Keep the production rolling
They keep on warning me
But I'm not always listening
And yesterday I heard the news of fire at my doorstep
But this morning they're just disputing semantics
Necessary illusions, broadcasting...
Releasing, persuading, compliance
But I feel so far removed
Keep the production rolling
Necessary abusing, broadcasting...
Releasing, persuading, compliance
But I feel so far removed
Keep the production rolling

Such a good song, good introduction to the new album, why has no1 commented yet?!
The intro to the album is Defeated, not Broadcasting- but this is a really good song. I can't really figure out what it's about though.
i imagine its about propoganda
just bought the cd today and its fuckin' amazing...bout time i have something else besides emo music in my library lol
Awesome song, my favourite from the new album. Yeah I agree it is about the impact the media has on society, propaganda included. The media is constantly creating news that may or may not exist and can be a tool for evil ... the common threat sits in our house (TV, radio, etc.)
This is one of their songs that gets me hooked on the first listen, like Wake the Dead did for ...Wake the Dead, and like Give and Take did for Turn it Around. Which is good, because then their even better songs, the growers, get a chance.
But yeah, anyways its more or less about propaganda. Props to them for more "punkish" lyrics. As far as hardcore goes nowadays its usually not too far beyond personal issues, which is alright in its place.
when i first heard this song when they put it up on myspace i was a bit worried about the new sound they've taken. now after listening to the album a bit i actually love it and im so glad theyve developed and not just churned out more of the same (amazing) stuff. change is good.
This song destroys. Easily the best track on the album.
This would have to be my favourite by Comeback Kid...but, on here they're under The Comeback Kid, not Comeback Kid...someone should correct them
kick asssssssssssss !!!!!!!!!!!!
great song. its about media deception. awesome song. even awesomer when i saw them live.
