i think it's .. "i've gone to california" instead of i've got california..
also, "budha or a monk" instead of budha/allah
and im pretty sure he says "ill be back again" after i'll come home.
im not positive.. but those sound pretty clear to me.
about the meaning.. im not exactly sure, but i know he doesnt have the best relationship with his dad (all for you - gravity album) and i think its just about him being angry with his dad, wishing he could get away, growing up, and doing it - going a long way from home (canada) and entering a completely different world. - which is exciting at first, but once he is actually in the environment for a while, he realizes how crazy it actually is. in the end - he realizes that he does miss home - and desires to go back.
I think it's directed more towards his mother "Oh my ma, what have I done?"
It was written about him, Chantal, and his kids packing up and moving to L.A. They said that they literally took what they needed and grabbed a few of their instruments and left Toronto. Neat song.
