Forgotten Works Lyrics
The tomb crew bring sugar oil
We'll meet at the mirrored statue
Margret my girl, standing on air
That is my name, that is my name
Light the bridges with the lantern
You know something's going to happen
The tomb crew bring sugar oil
We'll meet at the mirrored statue
Margret my girl, standing on air
That is my name, that is my name
İDEATH
Light the bridges with the lantern
You know something's going to happen
TIGERS: IN-BOIL
FORGOTTEN WORKS
We'll meet at the mirrored statue
Margret my girl, standing on air
That is my name, that is my name
You know something's going to happen
We'll meet at the mirrored statue
Margret my girl, standing on air
That is my name, that is my name
You know something's going to happen

i think its about having sex, not sure though. thats what i get out of it
found this: http://bb01.sov.uk.vvhp.net/klaxons/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1956
they say the song is about the difficulties of being killed by tigers. wow i was way off but I think it's still about sex.
I also reckoned it was about sex or love or fighting for love or something like that. With Margret being there girl and the tigers. The song just makes me warm and fuzzy from inside, the first klaxons song I kinda understood
the whole song is about book ,,in watermelon sugar,, by richard brautigan. every single word is from this book.
forgotten works is a forgidden area in this book.It is a huge trash heap where the remnants of a former civilization lie abandoned in great piles.INBOIL is man who lives there.
Some critics believe the book to be about a new Eden in a post-apocalyptic world: the old destroyed world is represented by the Forgotten Works.
Klaxons seem to be a very well read band. The Tomb Crew inlay glass tombs in riverbeds for the dead of iDEATH,"everything is reflected in the statue of mirrors if you stand there long enough and empty your mind of everything else but the mirrors". the narrator sees his ex-lover Margaret hang herself from an apple tree in the mirrors.the narrator witnessed his parents being eaten by tigers when he was 9 years old although he is not traumatized by this because he has an absolute emotional disattachment from nearly everything as has the other residents of iDEATH apart from inBOIL and Margaret who find solace and beauty in the forgotten things of the forgotten works.the lanterns on the bridges are in the shapes of faces of a child, a trout and tigers, it is a very trippy book but an excellent one.
