All Alone (On Eilean Shona) Lyrics
If you stay, or if you go
I won't try, I won't hope
'Cause if you stay
Or if you go
If you stay, or if you go
I won't try, I won't hope
'Cause if you stay, or if you go
I won't try, I won't hide
'Cause if you stay...
Despair
Depression
Feeling abandoned
Lonely
Worthless
Frustrated
Worry
Doubting
Vulnerable
Forgetful
Losing self confidence
Heavy
Irritable
Fear of the future
Obsessed with possessions
Meaninglessness
Friendlessness
Fear of being penniless
No-one to touch
Loss of psychological power... because there is change afoot.
Be with the changes, and at the same moment, cultivate equanimity, spaciousness, emptiness, awareness, clarity... may it be so.
If you stay, or if you go
I won't try, I won't hide
'Cause if you stay, or if you go
I won't lie, I won't try
'Cause if you stay
'Cause if you stay...
I won't try, I won't hope
'Cause if you stay
Or if you go
I won't try, I won't hope
'Cause if you stay, or if you go
I won't try, I won't hide
'Cause if you stay...
Depression
Feeling abandoned

It's a song about death and coming to terms with loosing a loved one to death. It's about the process of letting go of someone when they die.
"Recording the South African female trio the Mahotella Queens in Johannesburg made such an impact on Duncan that they ended up singing on three tracks, including the truly spine-tingling vocal break in what is perhaps the album's most effective track, 'All Alone'. "At first, I added them to a very upbeat track, 'Ma' Africa'. But that went off so well that I played them 'All Alone' as an afterthought. 'All Alone' was written to accompany our film about death, and the Queens used to be led by a man who performed with them, who had died about two months before we got there. We explained that this was our film about what death means, and thought that it would be good to have something uplifting in the middle to show that death can be a beginning, as well as an end."

A beautiful song. I love it. :)
I like what theyre trying to say in this song, it seems to have a deep rooted feeling...however, it doesn't sound like it really flows all that well, like theyre having trouble really organizing all their thoughts.
There pretty much just talking about not giving a fuck bout a bitch. Atleast that's what I got from it.
