Broken Sunday Lyrics
I looked up at the stars tonight,
To see your face and to feel your presence now,
I need you here right now,
I came from a lonely place,
Windows strewn in my darkest hour now,
I need you here right now,
I need you here,
Cause you won't leave me lonely,
Cause I can't go on,
You won't leave me broken in a world that's not my home,
Cause I'll be gone,
Until forever I'll be home,
Goodbye my broken sunday,
One love and one escape,
To another place where the pain and fear fade out,
I need you here right now,
I need you here cause you won't leave me lonely
Cause I can't go on,
You won't leave me broken in a world that's not my home,
Cause I'll be gone,
Until forever I'll be home,
Until my name is etched in stone,
and we will never be alone,
Goodbye my broken sunday,
You won't leave me lonely,
Cause I can't go on,
You wont leave me broken,
In a world thats not my home,
Cause I'll be gone,
Until forever I'll be home,
Until my name is etched in stone,
and we will never be alone,
Goodbye my broken sunday,
To see your face and to feel your presence now,
I need you here right now,
I came from a lonely place,
Windows strewn in my darkest hour now,
I need you here right now,
I need you here,
Cause I can't go on,
You won't leave me broken in a world that's not my home,
Until forever I'll be home,
Goodbye my broken sunday,
To another place where the pain and fear fade out,
I need you here right now,
I need you here cause you won't leave me lonely
Cause I can't go on,
You won't leave me broken in a world that's not my home,
Until forever I'll be home,
Until my name is etched in stone,
and we will never be alone,
Goodbye my broken sunday,
Cause I can't go on,
You wont leave me broken,
In a world thats not my home,
Until forever I'll be home,
Until my name is etched in stone,
and we will never be alone,
Goodbye my broken sunday,

I can't believe no one has commented on this song yet, it's a great song.
Aye I agree most certainly this song is awesome but I never comment on the meaning of songs because I feel that our experiences change the way we see things and I for one take everything to be about break ups or about being lonely which I think this song is about
This song is awesome, easily the best i've heard from them yet.
oh yeah man, This one'e up there with "Bleed for me", "Your Disease", and "Click Click BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM"!
awesome tune.
From an interview with Josey Scott "“Broken Sunday” is an absolute song about God." not 100% sure what it means exactly but that is the general topic.

Well, if this song is about God, it could be about how God will never leave your side, even in your darkest hour. This is just my opinion so take it or leave it as you wish.
Actually sounds very much like it's about God. Well from the verse i could tell right away.
I looked up at the stars tonight, To see your face and to feel your presence now, I need you here right now, I came from a lonely place, Windows strewn in my darkest hour now, I need you here right now, I need you here,
He's calling out to God for some sort of comfort/help
Plus, "Broken Sunday." Sunday is when people go to church... Connection?
Or maybe i'm totally wrong but to me this song is about God as well
only eight comments :( thats kind of sad, such a great song deserves more than eight comments
found an interview around the time of the album's release:
Q: "The new single, “Broken Sunday,” what is that song about?" A: "It’s about waiting on something to get better. It seems like the world is a lot of times, depending on your view, it seems like the world’s going down the toilet sometimes. It’s a song that asks why. Why are we here and what’s our purpose? What’s gonna happen when all this shit hits the fan? What’s gonna happen to us? It’s a song that hopes for something better. It’s a just a song that hopes for something greater than ourselves to protect us and take us home.
and here's the link to it
