Always Fade Lyrics
Come clean and off with your head
The streams of bright rosy red
Your heart will do the rest
And you'll always fade
You'll always fade
Someday you'll change
But you'll always fade
Cut free the weight on your neck
The screams, the clutching of breast
So sorry about the mess
But you'll always fade
You'll always fade
Someday you'll change
But you'll always fade
The streams of bright rosy red
Your heart will do the rest
And you'll always fade
You'll always fade
Someday you'll change
But you'll always fade
The screams, the clutching of breast
So sorry about the mess
But you'll always fade
You'll always fade
Someday you'll change
But you'll always fade

Lovely song off the new album. It is an insistent reminder of death, just as the beat annoying rattles on and held vocal notes decay.
Whether beheaded or otherwise, the heart will beat on announcing death. You may change, but you will always die. You should cut free this weighty impending end about violent death ("screams, clutching of breast"). A curt, apologetic "sorry about the mess" sums up the song's pessimism. We all die. Period.
I think, with the album said to be about the states and the war in the middle east, it's got to do with George Bush letting go of his crown and then pulling out of that whole f-ck up. oh, and the absolute depravity of it all. but he faded didn't he? along with his legacy of bloodshed. it all goes one direction. A really sad song, as if I needed to say it.
