Garden of Light Lyrics
I fell asleep in a world dressed in grey
Only to awake in a garden divine
There was song and dance and untarnished flesh
A feast for the body and eyes
It was you who brought me here
Yours, whose face greeted me, in the garden of light
You are the face of god
You are my breath
My life, my death
Only to awake in a garden divine
There was song and dance and untarnished flesh
A feast for the body and eyes
It was you who brought me here
Yours, whose face greeted me, in the garden of light
You are the face of god
You are my breath
My life, my death

I wen tot see Isis play in Philly on friday, tenth anniversary tour and all... Anyway I picked up this sick shirt at the show that happens to have the lyrics printed on the back. Really the only way that differed from this is that it is written as "untarnished flesh". Listening to it again I really think untarnished flesh might be more accurate. Also, the long sharp "Tar" sound makes more rhythmic sense over the weaker "fin" Sick song regardless.
this is one of the most beautiful songs off of one of the most beautiful albums in recent history.
the harmony reflects the beauty of nature.
6 comments on one of the greatest songs you will never hear. That's sad. The music in this song tells more of a story than any lyric ever could. From 5:15 on man, it's amazing. It's not enough to simply listen to this kind of music you know? you have to really stop and feel it, feel the soul collected through sound. It's amazing and probably one of the purest beauties on earth.
Read Firdous E Bareen.
i thought the last lines were "my life, i give" you know to go along with the whole Firdous E Bareen concept about someone giving up to the man and submitting to heaven
I think you were right i dont hear death i hear give theres no "th" sound and no "m" sound so i think it is "i give"

Just because this song doesn't have nearly enough comments.
Exactly, read Firdous E Bareen and this song makes enough sense. Though some of the lyrics still elude me, it's still an incredible piece of music.
