WHY HAS NOBODY COMMENTED! Hahaha! I love this song so much. : D I think it's obvious what this song is about. Some people are untrustworthy while others...just sort of play along with what other people are saying. Someone will gossip and the other people will just agree for the sake of agreeing. Things were like that in grade school and they remain that way for the rest of your life.

Omg./!? No comments, execpt that one above. I mean sheesh. This song is amazing.. And Beth Ditto is an idol. SHe must have so much confidence because of how stupidly thin most singers are, She is amazing voice is great, bass is great. The song hasn't really got hard meaning, its jsut great anywhoo. :]
I don't know if Beth has all that much confidence, and I think she is image concious. BUT she has what a voice and is born to perform. She is totally different on chat shows to what she is like on stage. Really is like a different person.
Think this song could be about when friends try to warn you of the right people or wrong people you may go out with. A lot of that advce is ignored and has to be spelt out to you a lot of times! Hence the whole 1,2,3 etc.
Uhhhm, Beth Ditto posed nude on the cover of (insert magazine name here that I cannot believe I forgot). If that doesn't show she has got confidence, I don't know what will.
Anyway, I love this song. And I believe its just about wanting to tell people (listen up!) about what will happen if you don't "take her advice".
