when i first heard this song, i figured it was about his obsession with a girl. But ive later come to realize that in this song Ne-yo, in an attempt to prove how Hollywood he's become, is explaining his sex addiction, and the fact that he cannot reamin faithful to a girl because he is obsessed with sex. "Want to but I can't help it I love the way it feels It's got me stuck between my fantasy and what is real I need it when I want it I want it when I don't Tell myself I'll stop everyday, knowing that I won't" talking about how he can not stop his obsession with sex, not just a particular girl.

I was listening to the radio on my ride home tonight. The DJ was talking about how he interviewed Ne-Yo and they discussed this song. He actually said that the song isn't about what people would assume (a girl) it's about having an addiction to anything really. Drugs, a thing, a place and could be a person as well. Thought I'd share this info. =)

after viewing the music video for this song i believe it was intended to describe feelings for a girl that are similar to those of drug addiction. that being said, this song does also remind me of mary jane :)

No offense, but sometimes people can be ridiculous. I understand the song because I'm in a situation like this. It's about a man who is obsessed with a girl sexually. It's not really a sex addiction, more of a sexual addiction to HER. The song is very specific.

Really, do you honestly think when he refers to "you" and "she" he's talking about his addiction? No, he's referring to this girl.

Now, me personally, I interpret it as a guy who has had a sex addiction for a long time, then he finds this girl who finally satisfies him and he can't get away from her. He starts losing focus on other things, even important things that he needs to do because he is so physically attracted to her.
