my parents are divorced and it's scary how accurate this is. there couldn't be a more perfect song describing it. it feels like the whole world crashing down upon you and you had no say in any of it. they're so caught up in their problems they never once ask if you're ok. i remember our last christmas as a family. it was horrible. everyone was faking a smile, pretending like everything was ok, but it wasn't. and i don't think it was fair to put me and my brother through it. we knew nothing was ok. so why did we have to suck it up for one day and pretend like it was? i'm officially in love with this song. though truthfully, i never hated my parents. i'm not sure about my brother though. he very well might...
Like many early Tokio Hotel songs, this seems to be inspired somewhat by the lives of the Kaulitz'. Their parents divorced at an early age and this song seems to reflect that. Pardon my translation: "It's against my will, It's against every sense, Why do you both have to break apart, Change your names? And the end is already here, And you say it's not for me. I hate you both for this. It's against my will."
This is about Bill and Tom's parent's divorce. It's a really sad song... and it's full of hatred and hurt. I love the song, even though my parents are still together...
