I had a girlfriend at the time I wrote this and I think I was just debating on whether or not I was what she wanted in her life. The goal of being a "rock star" is cool in high school ... but leaving college to succeed in that goal, not too impressive unless you actually do it ... I always felt like maybe she didn't believe in me as much as she really could/should have.
