is the last line really true? I reckon not.
I always thought this song was in part with "Lets Play Guitar in a 5 Guitar Band" Maybe talking about the same girl The lyrics are somewhat similar.

Oh and TheShoreline The guy in "Lets Play Guitar in a 5 Guitar Band" spent a whole summer with the girl in that song. This is a one night stand. But yes similar topic.
Of course the last line is true, in this case at least. It means he's saying on the night (of passion and drunkedness) he didn't see it being a one night stand, but then in the morning when the sun has come up, he see's (plainly) that it was.

I heard this song once on the college radio station and fell in love with this band forever. I like how its a story that begins with him seeing her and that envoking the memory.
