Pictures Lyrics
Light comes
Like a flicker in my left eye
Push, move
Would be perfect if you'd walk by
I've got lots of pictures in my head
You better not turn off the projector, oh
I've got lots of pictures in my head
You better not save them all for later
Maybe I
Oh, get me on fire
Could take your picture
Oh, you could get one too
And maybe I
Oh, get me on fire
Keep me on, don't switch me off, oh
You can't fight
Oh, what we do what we
Can't do it solo
But you've got what tickles for me
I've got lots of pictures in my head
You better not turn off the projector, oh
And I've got lots of pictures in my head
You better not save them all for later
Maybe I
Oh, get me on fire
Could take your picture
Oh, you could get one too
And maybe I
Oh, get me on fire
Keep me on, don't switch me off
Maybe I
Oh, get me on fire
Could take your picture
Oh, you could get one too
And maybe I
Oh, get me on fire
Keep me on, don't switch me off, oh
Keep me on, don't switch me off
Keep me on, don't switch me off
Keep me on, don't switch me off
You better not turn off the projector

NO COMMENTS! THIS BAND ARE AWESOME! Seen then at the melb robbie concert last year! fave song of theres for sure!
Yeah man i like it, would be alright live show i think. Good rhythm, very cathy. Goes off at parties haha good stuff.
aww man we had a party this weekend and played this song heaps and screamed the words, so it makes me happy now
Of course the lyrics are pathetic zoomzoom, its a dance song, and as such, has the underlying roots of it's lyrics embedded in the fact that the protagonist is on some kind of drug (ecstacy, acid possibly) and is therefore seeing 'pictures'.
My favourite bands are tool and NIN, though i have recently gotten into the dance genre through going out clubbing.
'keep me on', keep me high, can be noted as part of the theme. then the whole 'taking pictures' is part of the metro 'look at me, i've come here all dressed up for this night out, lets take pictures'. Even dance songs can be deep when you look at them (though not usually :) )
i think its about attraction being so attracted to someone, fantasies in her head and seeing them and enjoying them. i dont think its about drugs or even a camera... its about her mind, wanting to keep the attraction and the fantasy of the situation
@zoomzoom: If this song is so horrible and 'shitty' as you say, why aren't you out there making better music?
Afterall, music doesn't have to be complicated to be enjoyable, infact, its usually the complete opposite. Simpler songs are enjoyed because either a) people can sing to them easily enough b) the beat and rhythm are.. for a lack of a better word, SIMPLE, so that people are able to get the melody stuck in their head (aka, advertising!) and/or c) because simple music can be just as appealing as something 'complex'! Music is about stimulation and expression, taking out of account the fact money is involved.
But anyhow. My main point is that I have nothing against you speaking your mind, but don't insult the intelligence of others for perhaps liking this song. (:
Lol sure does go off in the clubs. Specially the Tonite Only Remix.
The guitar bit where everyone plays their own air guitar. Nothing like it. Everyone at that very same moment doing that same movement. Sorta like YMCA but better.
zoomzoom; don't be ignorant. If you go clubbing what else do you expect to hear? I know most clubs I go to play dance music a good 95% of the time. This song, to me, is one of those fun songs, that you, well, have fun listening and dancing to. Yes, F U N. Forgotten how to do that eh?
hahaha i completely forgot about this. to clarify some things; i dont go clubbing or dancing, i meant at parties, and i can play better music than this coz i play guitar in a metal band (so i guess im ur typical closed minded metalhead!). even so my comment did come across a bit asshole-ish. i heard this about 5 times in one day and got on here for a bit of a rant. if i heard it now i think i wouldnt hate it so much. oh and i do like to have fun.
how does this horrible, vile piece of shit song count as 'music'? im sick of having to hear this 50 times over everytime i go out with all the kiddies going wild over it, it grates me to the core coz i know how much better, more skillful music is out there. Just look these infantile lyrics, my 6 year old cousin could write them, but i spose that comes with the territory of this dance shit!
