I think this song is totaly beautiful
i totally have no idea what hes talking about and i dont care too much. just the melody of it is so soothing... and to think i heard this being played in some lousy van wilder 2 movie.
I absolutely love this song! I really don't know but the way I hear it, it sounds like the song is about a relatively new relationship. The singer starts to realize that this is serious b/c he never knew a girl could be so great (she blows his mind). He "tells his story slow" meaning he lets her in on his thoughts and background and family info a bit at a time instead of spilling it all, he wants to make sure she understands him and stays around. He shows "amber" as a caution (like a yellow light)b/c he is scared to commit and move forward. She shows green and is ready to go with monogamy and commitment. All he knows is that he can't let her go, b/c she blows his mind.. That is how I interpret it...
