Surfing With The Alien

Silver surfer for sure. Not only is he on the cover of the album(which is also named surfing with the alien) but you can hear the surfboard fly by every now and then in the song. Swoosh.. very neat, and definitely one of his best

I'm pretty sure Joe was day dreaming and figured rather than have a visitor come and take us over, he would take him surfing and show him the better things life has to offer. idk, maybe he was on drugs. Either way, surfing and guitar.

This song to me is about an acid trip.

Why is every song ever made about doing drugs?! Even if you've never opened a comic book in your life, surely you might have heard news recently about the new Fantastic Four coming to theaters? The villain involved in this one is the Silver Surfer...who looks dreadfully similar to the Alien on the cover of the album? Joe Satriani is a huge Marvel fan, and this song is just giving props to a great comic book character. It needn't involve drugs to be a CLASSIC song. That's all I have to say about that.

what i love sooo much about his music is that whateer the title is it sounds like the fucking song which is hella tight!

actually most of you are wrong this song wasn't written about the Silver Surfer in an interview he said he wrote this song without a theme but really wanted it to be a single and didn't even have a title and as the album was about to be released someone showed him a Fantastic 4 comic and he just asked what the guys name was and took it. I was kinda disappointed when I heard this, I thought Joe was just a bad-ass who read comics : \
