I think this is a song about a guy trying to figure out his life and what he wants and doesnt want to do with his life. But thats just my opinion.
This song came out very early in Great Big Sea's career and I always assumed it was about how they were selling records and making fans and not quite knowing how to feel about it/ what to do, and how fame was already affecting those they loved. I don't know, but that's what I thought about it.
